In Matthew 28:19, Jesus commands us to go and share His message and make disciples. Living as His disciple and making new followers pleases God and brings honor to His name.

In the ultimate sense, the purpose of God’s plan is God’s glory.1
What God does, He does for His own name’s sake (Isaiah 48:11; Ezekiel 20:9).
The purpose of the whole plan of salvation is the glory of God through the good works that God has prepared His people to do. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
Man’s chief purpose is to glorify God.2
So, showing ourselves to be Jesus’ disciples and going forth to make disciples,” as Jesus commanded (Matthew 28:19), will glorify God.
That’s why we should become Jesus’s disciples.
